Compare the features you actually need
Plan names, usage limits, models and interface labels change. Instead of choosing from a dated feature chart, check the provider's current account information and test the same harmless task in each available environment.
- Does your organization allow this service and account type?
- Are the required Projects, instructions and file types available?
- Can you inspect the original sources alongside the output?
- What are the current usage limits and data controls?
- If a workflow needs a connected tool, is it explicitly supported and authorized?
Try it thoughtfully
Use the same fictional five-line meeting note in both services. Compare factual fidelity, useful formatting and how clearly each marks missing information—not just which answer sounds friendlier.
Separate accounts mean separate work
A ChatGPT conversation is not automatically available in Claude, and a Project in one service is not an automatically synchronized Project in the other. Moving work requires an intentional, authorized transfer of relevant instructions and sources, followed by verification.
Do not move a Ginny installation between platforms based on a generic copy/paste experiment. Confirm the product's instructions and supported setup first. Keep your original work while you validate any authorized transition.
Use current provider guidance
For account controls, current availability and supported file types, use the official provider documentation rather than screenshots from an old tutorial. Check the account you will actually use; a feature demonstrated on someone else's plan may not be available on yours.
