Starting safely

Do I need a paid AI account?

It depends on the task, required features and current provider plan. Check your account's current limits and your organization's policy. For a Ginny installation, use the requirements in your exact product's protected instructions; this Academy does not promise compatibility with every free or paid account.

Can I use my personal AI account for work?

Only if your employer or client permits that service, account type and information use. A personal subscription does not override confidentiality or security rules. Practice with fictional material while authorization is unresolved.

Does turning off training make uploads confidential?

Do not infer that from a single setting. Review the provider's current data handling, retention, sharing and account terms, and your organization's requirements. Training controls, memory, history and tool access are separate considerations.

What should I do if I accidentally upload sensitive information?

Stop sharing it, avoid creating additional public links or copies, and follow your organization's incident-reporting process. Use the provider's current removal and support guidance. Do not assume deletion immediately removes every retained copy or fulfills every reporting obligation.

Better everyday work

Why does AI invent a deadline or owner?

It can fill gaps with plausible language instead of verified facts. Ask for explicitly stated information only, require missing fields to be marked unconfirmed, and compare the output to the original source yourself.

Can I trust a citation or a calculation?

Open the cited source and check that it exists and supports the claim. Verify calculations and inputs with an appropriate independent tool. Asking the same assistant to confirm its own answer is not independent verification.

Should every task have a new Project?

No. Organize according to the scope and confidentiality of the work. For Ginny, follow the product's installed workspace guidance; Work Sessions are task chats inside the same Project, not new installations.

Does uploading a file mean every page was read?

No. Parsing can omit or misinterpret scans, tables, images and layouts. Confirm the relevant section against the original and check current supported file types and limits.

Context & troubleshooting

Why does a chat forget an earlier decision?

Earlier information may be unavailable, summarized, overlooked or outside the working context. Reintroduce the relevant verified source and inspect a readback. Memory and Project references do not guarantee complete recall.

Will deleting or archiving chats make AI respond faster?

Not reliably. Housekeeping does not fix model inference speed, provider demand, a complex request or your connection. Preserve important records and diagnose the symptom before deleting work.

How do I continue in a fresh conversation?

Review a handoff with the task, verified facts, decisions, open items and source versions. Provide the needed sources intentionally and check the key facts. For Ginny, use the product's Work Session/recovery guidance; a fresh conversation does not guarantee continuity.

Does ChatGPT automatically share my work with Claude?

No. Accounts and workspaces are separate. Any authorized move requires an intentional transfer and verification, and product-specific installation guidance still applies.

Ginny products

Is Ginny a separate AI model?

No. Ginny Circle provides workflows that customers install and use in an appropriate AI environment according to their product instructions. Buying a product does not create automatic access to external accounts.

Where are my installation files?

Sign in with the account used for purchase and open My Ginny Circle for available materials. First-Time Setup provides setup guidance. Paid files remain protected; this Academy does not reproduce them or grant entitlements.

Is every Ginny product installed by pasting once?

No. Developer Command Center and Developer Expansion have upload instructions and a choose-one edition requirement. Portfolio Expansion is a compact add-on in the original Developer Project. Other products and bundles have their own instructions. Always follow the exact delivered guidance.

Do I install both Manual and Connected editions?

No. Where editions are supplied, follow the choose-one instructions for your product. Connected access requires supported, approved tools and permissions; mixing editions is not a way to gain more capabilities.

Does Connected mode continuously watch my inbox?

Do not assume background monitoring. Ginny's public inbox guidance describes review on request with supported, authorized connections. Review access and actions; a prepared draft is not a sent email.

Do Work Sessions require another installer?

No. Work Sessions are focused chats inside the same installed Project. Follow your product's session instructions; do not reinstall, add both editions or create a duplicate workspace just to start a task.

Can I reinstall to fix a slow or confused chat?

Do not reinstall as a default troubleshooting step. Preserve your work, identify the symptom and follow the product's recovery guidance. Repeated installation or a second Project can create confusion without solving the underlying issue.

Are these guides replacement installers or Blog posts?

Neither. Academy guides are public static education. The Blog remains a separate source of educational articles, and purchased-product materials stay in the protected customer library.
